Green grass stains from a spontaneous soccer match in the park, accidentally donning your fresh shoes to the pub, or a drop of coffee that doesn’t fall on the floor, but directly on your All Stars. There are a million ways your shoes can get dirty. But no worries! We know how you can clean them.

1. WASHING MACHINE

You can simply put Converse All Stars in the washing machine! Remove the laces and put the shoes and laces in a laundry bag or pillowcase with a good knot in it. Set the machine to a maximum of 30°C and add a little detergent.
Important: DO NOT SPIN!

Let them dry and they’ll be all fresh and new again.

2. MELAMINE SPONGE

This sponge is also called “the miracle sponge”. The structure of this sponge is so dense that you can remove almost all stains with just a little water and some wiping. We’re talking about pen, we’re talking about grease, we’re talking about felt tip pen and much more. You can buy these types of sponges at the drugstore or your local household store around the corner.

3. NATURAL WHITE VINEGAR

Grandmother’s panacea!

Almost everyone has white vinegar at home and this liquid removes stains from your sneakers really well. Pour some white vinegar onto a clean cloth and gently rub the stain out. The results are impressive!

4. SHAMPOO

Apply a mild shampoo, preferably baby shampoo if you have it at home, to your shoe and rub it in with a cloth or toothbrush. Leave it on for a while and you will see the stain diminish or disappear completely!

5. NAIL POLISH

Well, not necessarily the best way to “clean” your shoes. But if it’s a stain that is so stubborn that it still won’t go away with the above remedies, you could carefully apply a dot of nail polish of the same color as your shoe. The stain is then nicely camouflaged!
